Dr Nina Sharma (BSc, MBChB-1991)
Dr Nina Sharma qualified as a doctor from Leicester University and is our medical director. She is both a trained nurse and doctor with previous experience of dermatology clinics at The Leicester Royal Infirmary and currently working as a part-time NHS GP.
She has established Medi-Laser Aesthetics after realising that many patients are highly distressed with skin complaints such as excess hair, acne, scars, pigmentation, unwanted tattoos, wrinkles, rosacea, etc. but yet there was little she could offer under the NHS.
She has completed specialised training in aesthetic lasers, wrinkle reducing injections, dermal fillers and also skin care products. She offers the highest clinical and ethical standards and has previously sat on Fitness to Practise Panels at the GMC. She is also currently an NHS GP Appraiser.
Dr Gopal Sharma (BMedSci, MBChB-1987)
Dr Gopal Sharma is also a Leicester graduate, currently practising as an NHS GP and also as a Hospital Specialist in Musculo-Skeletal Medicine. He has also served on Fitness to Practise Panels at the GMC and on the Conduct and Competence Committee at the Health Professions Council. Thus, like his wife he has been long committed to not only providing a high level of clinical care to his own patients, but also to ensuring high standards generally amongst other health care providers through his roles with such regulatory bodies.
He has been providing minor surgical procedures for skin tags, warts, lipomas and sebaceous cysts since 1991 and will now be supplementing Dr Nina Sharma at Medi-Laser Aesthetics. We fully appreciate that some male clients may prefer to consult a male physician. Therefore, he also has specialised training to provide high quality laser skin care.
Ms Tracy Hynd (RGN- 1997)
is a highly experienced UKCC Registered Nurse who has been working in our Walsall Clinic since 1999. She has specialised training in skin diagnosis and skin care, all types of IPL and Laser skin treatments and hair/tattoo removal procedures, muscle relaxing injections, Dermal fillers, microdermabrasion and also Cosmedix skin care products.
Sally Reid (Senior Therapist)
Sally Reid is a very knowledgeable and experienced technician based in our Walsall Clinic since 1999 with ongoing training and regular updates. Her expertise in hair removal and the Epilight system is probably second to none.
Katie Parkes (Therapist)
Katie Parkes has been working in our Walsall Clinic since 2001 and specialises in skin diagnosis, skin care advice, Cosmedix skin products, mineral make up, microdermabrasion and radio-frequency skin tightening techniques.
Alison Webb (Receptionist/Therapist)
Alison Webb is the newest member of our team but has already attended a Cosmedix medial skin care course in 2007 as well as an Epilight hair removal course in 2008. Further ongoing training is planned.
